My approach is grounded in multiple coaching certifications alongside a scientific background in systems thinking, a Masters in Conservation Biology that taught me to look for root causes rather than surface symptoms.
I am certified as a Three Principals Life Coach as well as being a certified Relationship Coach. Overall I hold 6 coaching certifications.
My story began in Africa pursing a dream in conservation. Life took me to Australia and after leading a conservation NGO for five years I took up a position in the Commonwealth Government at the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.
Three years later I took up an executive level position with another Commonwealth entity, the Torres Strait Regional Authority, leading the climate change and coastal program, a role I held for 15 years. In that time I lay the groundwork for a comprehensive climate science program and regional and community adaptation response which attracted well over $40 millions dollars of investment into the region.
Whilst my work was purposeful and my career successful, an emptiness inside me was growing, and I decided to follow the voice inside trying to get my attention. I had come to realise courage was part of my journey, and again I summoned it to leave the security of an on-going executive position in government to pursue my deeper truth.
I started my coaching journey as a Relationship Coach and found I was increasingly supporting people on broader life transitions related to life having overtaken their connection to themselves and what made them feel inspired and alive. I have helped numerous professionals who have hit that "why do I feel empty despite being successful" moment to find the clarity to move through this to regain a life of true alignment.
I seek the root cause. This has been the thread of my work throughout my career, and that thread continues into my coaching work. It is in fact the reason I became a coach. Within all of us there are buried stories, fears, dreams and they play a powerful role in shaping our choices throughout life.
When we find the clarity of who we truly are, new possibilities emerge, and it doesn’t require a major life upheaval, just an upheaval in how we relate to it – and to ourselves.
I invite you to take this journey.
